Todo Cloud App Reviews

Can’t even get in to the app

I used ToDo several years ago, so I thought I’d give the new ToDo Cloud a try to see if I like it better than Todoist, which I’ve been using for a year or so. When I opened ToDo Cloud, it wouldn’t let me go any further without a user name and password. I tried the user id and password that I used with my old ToDo app, but no luck. I’m not going to spend an hour figuring out how to even get this thing going when all I wanted to do is see if I like it better than the old ToDo. I’m assuming I probably need to download this to my iPhone or iPad and get it going from there, but I’m not going to waste the time to do that. I do most of my time management planning on my desktop. If Appigo is not commited enough to the desktop version to make it work properly from the get-go, then I’m not interested.

Works fine, but...

I have no complaints about this version except that it would be preferable to have a setting to force automatic syncing at lesser regular intervals like 1 minute, 5 minutes, etc. If I make a change, I have to remember to manually sync before exiting the app. Otherwise, my iPhone Todo Cloud app isn’t current. Smallest increment is an hour. Shouldn’t be hard to change that feature.

Excellent, Fast, Easy to Use

I used ToDo for years and finally made the switch to ToDo Cloud. It’s easy to keep all my lists updated, and I like it for all my need-to-do personal tasks. It’s fast, easy and it looks great! I had one minor issue and contacted support. They go back to me quickly with a personal reply and we got it fixed right away.

great app

finally a task manager worth its money! I wil gladly pay for this service, this is the only task manager that makes sense, and Ive tested like all of the ones that are out there. Really nicely done! Its the only app that makes actual use of tags - something Ive been looking for - you can choose multiple tags, and even decide whether it should be logical "or" or " and". AWESOME!!!!

Great app

I have used the normal app for a long time. This Pro version is even greater. Keep up the great work.

GTD: Not bad

I have read the Getting Things Done book and have been looking for something that I can use with all my lists in a digital format. I like that it syncs with all of my devices. I wish that there was a button that we could check that would allow us to put certain tasks on iCal.

Confusing...

If you download this app, it asks for a sign in, there is no place to make an account for this. I shouldnt have to go searching for a way to get into the app. Do these companies not test their products…, just wasting my time, which is ridiculous for a productivity app...

Bring back the old feature

Cant see contexts, tags, and dates in the same side bar. I have to click on each icons. This bugs me alot. Even worst, the tasks duplicates themself. Thats a huge bummer. Onlu plus side… the design update is nice.

I can’t even use it

I just downloaded it, it asked for my email and password which I typed in (my iCloud info) and it just won’t let me use it. No help, or explainantion. I’ve typed it in multiple times, I’m not doing it wrong. Lack of efficiency in my opinion

Just keeps falling short...

Man, I really, really want to like this app... but sadly it just keeps falling short. The quality of the graphical interface... well, how can I say this... it just stinks! It does NOT live up to the standards of Mac apps we have come to love and expect. Honestly, this app looks like something left over from an outdated Windows program from 15 years ago. The calendar in the lower-left corner is utterly boring, the "task count" lozenges look faded and sad. But the biggest disappointment is the huge letdown in the syncing capability. Their website makes you believe that syncing takes place instantly as soon as tasks are added or updated. However, this Mac app does NOT update changes instantly at all. In fact, the "fastest" sync interval you can choose in the Settings panel is 1 hour! Seriously?! ONE HOUR?! Guys, its 2013... that is totally unacceptable in todays world of instant cloud syncing! If you want your changes synced faster than once per hour, you have to open up Settings, go to the Sync tab, manually click the Sync Now button, wait for it to sync, then exit back out. Pathetic!! Ive waited around forever for Appigo to get caught up on so many issues like this, but Im tired of waiting. So long fellas! Maybe Ill check back with you in a few years to see if youve caught up with everyone else.

Great List Manager - Sync needs work

I have been an avid Todo user on my iPhone for well over a year and a half now. I can say that this To-Do list manager has really changed my life. I feel more organized and am without a doubt more productive. I have tried several task managers and I believe this one beats them all. It is simple to use, yet powerful enough to handle all my various tasks. I love the clean look. The Mac app mirrors the iPhone app beautifully. However, the two are not communicating the way they should. I am having great difficulty keeping the 2 apps synced. If the sync was fast and reliable, then this would easily be a 5 star app for me.

Great app

This is a great app. It keeps my tasks up to date between desktop, phone and laptop. The biggest draw for me is being able to color code different categories of tasks and projects.

Seems like a great app, but havent been able to login and try it!

Downloaded it and the splash srcreen asks you to sign in. Not sign up, just sign in. Went to website finally and created an account successfully, but the app wont recognize me and simply says name and password dont match. Even went back to website and changed my password. Still, no go. Whatzup with that?

Best ToDo availble. And I have tried all of them

How this app got only four stars at the time of this posting is beyond me. I have tried at least twenty different task apps. None do everything well enough to use them daily. Some dont even manage tasks well, the entire purpose of a task app. This app, although I have only been using it now for a few days, seems to work well and does what you need a task app to do. No bogus slot machine calenders which require you to use a third party calender to coordinate dates. No features which are necessary for functionality which are only available on the mac versions or in higher priced versions. Its just all there. The only negative thing I can say is that this app was hard to find as it doesnt show up easily in searches for tasks and such. I would have tried it sooner had I found it. I also dont know how this hasnt made the top ten list on various PC sites. Definitley lightyears ahead of what "those guys" rated as being in the top ten. I tried them all, none work well enough to even keep.

Best GTD todo app.

I have researched for hours and used multiple GTD apps to see which one would be the most useful. Hands-down, I can say that TdoPro is the best. It allows for great cross-platform integration between my iMac, iPad and iPhone as well as the Web. In addition the interface is very pleasing to the eye and very easy-to-use and intuitive. Items such as due dates can be set with multiple parameters without having to press multiple buttons. Many of the programs I have looked at have some good and but lack many useful items. ToDo pro appears to have all the necessary features one could ask for. You spend more time working and less time figuring out how thing works.

Great App to keep you on task

Fantastic App with even more fantastic support to keep you on task!

Great App

Great app. very easy to use. It is also comprehensive. So far, I have not found anything "missing" from the functionality. If there is a minor imprvement I would love to see it would be the ability to attach a text file to a task. But 99% of the time the provided notes field is plenty. Great work on this, I have been using it for over a year as an app, and about 8 month with their online integration.

Cludgy

It has a lot of potential but when really trying to use it extensively there are lots of little details that are hard to do. For example, the smart field parsing is pretty handy but since it doesn’t include fields like notes, it becomes a pain becuase you make a task and then have to go find that task to add a note. Lots of little details like that.

Lagging behind the iOS versions

There are much nicer, native OS X task management tools available today than this. That being said, Appigo has an impressive iOS ToDo app that is recently released and it is only a matter of time until this desktop app gets refreshed with the same features. This current version uses outdated UI components like a floating item inspector instead of an embedded panel. It also doesn’t allow you change the sort order of lists, assign icons or have prominent color coding (it’s there but subtle). The Siri integration and extensive customization on the iOS app makes the wait for a new OS X version tolerable.

Not up to iOS versions

The desktop app is clumsy to use and lacks many features available in the iOS versions. Most apparent: - entire UI is different, lagigng behind - difficulty of changing task info - difficulty of merging/moving notes - inability to see the full note - no grouping of lists Universal quick add is a nice feature, but the strength of the iOS versions is the only reason to use this Desktop app.
